Exclusions
Phase 1
Codenames are basically nicknames. They are used to give some element of secrecy to the game, and for exclusions (see below). At the beginning of the game, after signups, the host asks all players to PM them a codename a la Hunger Games Anon. It doesn’t really matter what you choose, but make sure your nick doesn’t give any clue to who you are. DO NOT MAKE THESE CODENAMES A PL LIKE HGA. This is important.
Phase 2
At this point, the host will ask players to PM their first attack. The only difference from HGA in this part is you attack by username, not codename (the codenames aren’t in a PL, so this shouldn’t be hard). After all attacks have been chosen, you don’t roll for attacks quite yet. Players must attack.
Phase 3
After the attacks phase, the host will say the codenames of all of the people who were NOT attacked. A player is picked at random to take a guess on who has this codename. Use .pick to choose this player. (Even the player who has that codename can be chosen). If the player chooses correctly, the player who has that codename is revealed, and they die. If they vote incorrectly, the host simply says “Incorrect” and nothing happens. This occurs for every person who was not attacked (And a new player is chosen). Multiple players can die during this phase. If everyone is attacked, skip this phase (this is rare, but it can happen).
Phase 4
After Phase 3, the attacks are rolled normally, as if it was an HGA game. (Do attacks using nicknames). One exception: there is attacker immunity! Everyone is secret in this game, so no one sees anyone coming! Basically, Phase 2 continued.
Repeat phases 2-4 until there are only 2 players left.
Finals
The Finals in Exclusions work like finals from most other games: the host rolls for who gets to attack first, and the attack is rolled. Like any other theme, the last man standing wins!
Modifications
PMs: Let players PM each other and create truces.
Defender Reveal: Say the attacker’s codename, but the defender’s username instead.
