Survivor FAQ
What is Survivor?
Good question! Survivor is a game based on luck. We utilize the dice and roll commands on PS! to simulate battles between users. Each game is based on a theme, some themes require strategy, others not so much. In the end your fate is in the hands of the dice. We also have a leaderboard that keeps track of how well people do in games over the course of cycles! Below is an example of a standard dice roll:

What makes up a game of Survivor?
Well, there are a few key parts to any game. First of all, there's a host, which is the person who uses the dice and roll commands to simulate the battles in a game. Then, there are the players, who are the ones participating in the game and trying to win. As mentioned, each game has a theme, which is the word we use for the games we play. These three things make up a normal game of Survivor.
How can I play Survivor?
When someone begins a game of Survivor, the highlight word "survgame" will show up in chat to let you know a game has started. Feel free to add this word to your highlight list on PS! to be notified when a game begins (and we have a button in our room intro that will do it for you if you click it!) Once a game has begun, type "/me in" in the main chat to enter the game. If the game is being hosted by our room bot Sir Vivor, you will be automatically entered into the game by using the "/me in" command, and if the game is being hosted by another user in the room, they will add you to a Player List, commonly referred to as a PL. Then, just follow the rules of the theme you are playing from there!
How can I host a game in Survivor?
If you want to host a game of Survivor, ask a member of Survivor's Auth team either in PMs or in main chat. That user will then host you, and people can join your game! When you host, you will select a theme and follow the steps of that theme for your host. We also have a How to Host page on this website to give you some more pointers on how to host.
What are Cycles and how can I participate during them?
Cycles are 4-week long periods where people can earn points and make it onto Survivor's leaderboard! Every game in Survivor that has 4 players or more is worth points towards the cycle standings! Check out the Points System page to see how to earn points in a game, and how many points you can get. At the end of the cycle, the person with the most points enters the Hall of Fame. The Top 10 players in each cycle's standings earn points towards the Survivor Leaderboard. Whoever is at the top of the leaderboard by the end of a Season, which lasts 6 cycles, is crowned that Season's champion, and also earns themselves a spot in the Hall of Fame! For more information, check out the pages under the New Survivor Leaderboard tab.
