Roll Boost
How to Play
Notes
Modifications
Split Rolls: Each player instead has 75 Attack Points and 75 Defense Points to use; Attack Points boost the player’s roll when attacking, Defense Points boost the player’s roll when defending. Players can use both Attack Points and Defense Points on each round, using a different amount of each, for example, 30 AP and 25 DP.
Supply Drops: Each round, there is a 25% chance that a Supply Drop will occur, determined by a !roll 100 (25 or lower = Supply Drop). Players can choose to use 25 Power Points in order to attempt to open the Supply Drop. Any players who attempt to do so will each !roll 100, and whoever rolls the highest opens the Supply Drop. However, the player with the lowest roll is eliminated! The player who opens the Supply Drop will receive a profit of 50 Power Points (so 50 points + the 25 you spent). You can use any Power Points if you do this (though they will only affect your roll when being attacked, not your roll when attempting to open the drop), and you can not attack, but you can still be attacked.
HPP / TDRB: Each player has 150 Power Points. If a player loses a roll, rather than being eliminated, that player loses Power Points equal to the difference between the rolls. If the difference is greater than the player’s remaining Power Points, the player is eliminated. You can not buy attacker immunity in this mode. Keep in mind that this will result in longer games.
- Roll Boost is a theme in which players can use a limited supply of Power Points to raise the value of their roll.
- Players begin the game with 100 Power Points. These are used to raise the value of your roll. During the PM phase, PM the host with the amount of Power Points that you would like to use for the round (along with your attack). The more Power Points you use, the higher your roll will be on this round. Keep in mind that this affects all of your rolls, both when attacking and defending.
- Each player’s roll during the round is this: .roll (100 + Power Points used), so if a player uses 30 Power Points, they will roll 130 for the round.
- Players can also purchase a round of Attacker Immunity for 25 Power Points by PMing the host with “Attacker Immunity”, “AI” or anything that gets the message across.
Notes
- If you use Power Points, but you are never involved in any attacks in the round (your target dies before your attack occurs + nobody attacks you), the Power Points that you used are still used up.
- In the finals, the final two players automatically use up all of their remaining Power Points.
- You can choose not to attack, but you can still use Power Points to boost your defense rolls. You can not defend on two consecutive turns.
- You don’t, of course, have to use any Power Points if you wish not to.
