Gotta Catch 'Em All
How to Play
Every player starts with three balls; 1 Pokeball, 1 Great Ball, & 1 Ultra Ball.
Pokemon herds appear one by one, each by a .randpoke displayed in chat by the host. Each herd appears for a limited time marked by .timer 30. There are three herds in each round.
In each herd, players can choose to throw a ball to try and catch the Pokemon or choose not to throw any balls.
A player can throw a ball using the command: “/me throws greatball”, or wait using the command: “/me waits” until the timer ends.
A player can throw a ball as soon as the random Pokemon appears. A player unable to make a move within the timer is assumed to have said “/me waits”
Pokeball: If .roll 700 is greater than its BST, it gets caught.
Great Ball: If .roll 1000 is greater than its BST, it gets caught.
Ultra Ball: If .roll 1300 is greater than its BST, it gets caught.
Host can choose to allow players to throw their ball by command: .allowroll (player).
Players use .roll (value) to try their luck with the throw.
Players with no, or the least number of Pokemon at the end of every 3 herds, are eliminated. If 2 or more players have an equal number of Pokemon and are to be eliminated, the one(s) with the lowest BST total is/are eliminated instead.
After every round, each player release their Pokemon. Players keep their remaining Pokeballs between rounds and receive the following awards for the next round :
For catching 1 Pokemon: 2 Pokeballs.
For catching 2 Pokemon: 1 Pokeball, 2 Great Balls.
For catching 3 Pokemon: 1 Great Ball, 2 Ultra Balls.
Additional Notes
Modifications
Championship: 3 balls (1 Pokeball, 1 Great Ball, 1 Ultra Ball), 5 rounds. After catching the Pokemon, players with no Pokemon are eliminated. Remaining players face each other in championship round of TTP or team-builder battle.
Quick Balls: Everyone starts with 2 quick balls, the rolls are 1200, 1100, 1000, 900 and so on till 400 for the first, second, third… throws. In each herd, only 1 player can catch the Pokemon. The number of herds for each round = Players-1 . The host throws the balls for the players as soon as they throw them. Both balls are regained at the end of a round. A Pokemon is caught by the first person to throw the ball or the last person to pass/run away. You don’t lose your Pokemon in this mod.
Timer Balls: Everyone starts with 2 Timer Balls, the rolls are 700, 800, 900, 1000 and so on till 1500 for the first, second, third… throws. In each herd, only 1 player can catch the Pokemon. The number of herds for each round = Players-1 . The host throws the balls for the players as soon as they throw them. Both balls are regained at the end of a round
Critical Capture: Everyone has a single master ball in each round. Number of Pokemon herds that appear = Number of players. A Pokemon is caught by either the first person to throw their master ball or the last person to pass/run away if nobody throws their master ball. Once everyone has their Pokemon, they will roll a number out of their Pokemon's BST, and the person who rolls the lowest number is eliminated.
